We have a crazy dream; we want everyone in the world to have real friends.  The kind of friends that know you inside and out.  We know these type of friendships take work, but the good news is the message is simple, "meet with a small group of people (Iron Group) at least once every week and share the real you with them: the good, the bad, and the ugly, so they really get to know you."  Then come have a guided experience through The Iron L.L.C. to celebrate and strengthen these real friendships.   

There are times in life when you can close your eyes and see something so clearly that you just have to pursue it and pray with all your heart that God is behind it.  We need your financial help to build a ministry that helps develop year-round God-centered deep friendships.  We all know these type of dreams take financial assistance to build.

The Dream

Wouldn’t it be amazing for college, single, and married people of all ages to have a place where they can retreat to annually to reaffirm our love for God and our friendships?  Jesus retreated to mountains on many occasions, on one occasion (Mark 9:2), after six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone.  A couple really neat things happened here: Jesus went high on a mountain and Jesus took his friends who he had deep relationships with him to be all alone.

The Short Term Goal

Over the next years, we would like to have a number of small groups of people take a retreat for multiple nights with a guide or two to have some time to discuss their relationships with God and with their Iron Group.

We are planning to have multiple weekends throughout the months when a small group of Iron Groups (a Fellowship) come together to get away on a guided experience: eating great food, enjoying fun experiences, having challenging discussions, and celebrating the deep friendships forged by meeting weekly at an annual experience through The Iron L.L.C..

We will start with the annual experiences being held in Asheville NC, but work towards our longer term goal. 

The Long Term Goal

As more and more Iron Groups are formed across the world we would like to have Iron Experiences in locations all over the world meeting the needs of men and women globally.  We believe these Iron Experiences can be tailored to individual Iron Groups to give a rich and dynamic annual experience all types of groups and budgets.  Whether Iron Groups travel a couple miles a way or thousands of miles away we would like these Iron Experiences to be unforgettable at any level: a simple mountain getaway or a once in a lifetime experience (i.e. hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon or a golf weekend in Scotland or serving the poor in Africa).  Regardless of the experience, we want lifelong friendships to be forged and for people all over the world to have real friendships.
